Interview with Stan Lee

February 28, 2007

SuperHeroHype.com got a chance to interview “The Man” himself. He talks about his upcoming projects, new characters, and his cameos in the Spider-Man, X-Men, & Fantastic Four movies.

SHH!: One of your most beloved cameos was when you showed up as postman Willie Lumpkin in “Fantastic Four.”

Lee: Oh, yeah.

SHH!: Are you going to be in the upcoming movie as well?

Lee: Yes, I have even a better cameo in the new one. I’m not Willie Lumpkin, but I can’t tell you what it is, but it’s very funny and I have a few lines of dialogue. They call me by name, “Stan Lee.” You’ll see it, and I have a good one in “Spider-Man 3″ also where I actually talk to Peter Parker, say a few words to him. I enjoy doing those cameos.

Slave Leia Still Hot as Cartoon

February 28, 2007

StarWars.com
Inspired by the signature look of the animated Clone Wars series, Acme is now launching into the Star Wars saga as a whole, where a multitude of heroes, villains, and obscure denizens await a re-imagined look as a Character Key. The first character in the series, Slave Leia, debuted last week and was quick to sell out of its 1,000 edition size.

Nerd Builds Robot to Beat Game!

February 27, 2007

Yeah, I like playing video games… but I’m not sure I like them enough to do what this guy did. And even if I did, I lack the know how.

“With my electronics experience I wondered if there was something that could push those two buttons for me so I could go about my daily life.”

Players will now have several options on ow to play. Feel like swinging around Manhattan just for kicks? That’s cool. Or you could choose to face many a nemesis: New Goblin, Sandman, Venom or several other non-movie villains whose identities are currently under wraps. Further, you can choose to fight as faithful Spider-Man, his alter ego Peter Parker or as the new darker, angrier, more powerful Black Suit Spidey.

Weekly Heroes Q&A

February 27, 2007

After last night’s episode, who wouldn’t want more Heroes?!? Click here to read the rest of the writers’ answers to the fans’ questions.

Ohhh, very interesting. Clearly the Haitian is more bad ass than we know! Daniel asks, “Am I the only one that finds it odd that Linderman is investing a lot of money in Nathan’s campaign after he tried to have him killed six months ago?” We’re guessing Linderman is a mad who hedges his bets. Guys?

Don’t forget, Nathan was going to start a case against Linderman when he had his accident. It was after that, that Nathan took Linderman’s money for his campaign. So, yes – Linderman is a man that likes his bets hedged – but the real question people should be asking is why would Nathan take money from the man who put his wife in a wheelchair?

PS3 Gets Exclusive Spider-Man 3 Game

February 26, 2007

As a Wii owner and a hardcore Spider-Man fan, this is totally not fair. Now I have a decision to make… pay off credit card debt or buy a PS3.

“Spider-Man 3: Collector’s Edition” will be exclusive to the PS3 and have a number of webisodes & bonus features. Perhaps the most outstanding feature, which makes me supremely jealous, is the ability to play as the New Goblin.

Daredevil Will Die, Ben Affleck Not Responsible

February 26, 2007

IGN

With all the speculation surrounding who might die in Civil War, one thing is particularly clear: Daredevil is definitely going to bite the dust. Sadly, he’s not the so-called “Fallen Son.” Matt Murdock will meet his fate in Marvel’s latest “The End” installment. The franchise is a series of specials, one-shot or otherwise, that detail the demises of many different Marvel heroes. Daredevil’s particular installment has been titled Daredevil: End of Days. Not much was said about the project other than the creative team. Brian Michael Bendis, known for his critically acclaimed run on Daredevil, will be writing the storyline. Bill Sienkiewicz will be handling the interior art while David Mack and Alex Maleev work on the covers.

Previous titles in the line have varied greatly in terms of design. The X-Men series received several mini-series that collectively revealed the end of the mutants. However the Fantastic Four tale is being told in one set of books. It is not known what precise structure End of Days will have.

Marvel was also quiet about plot details and release dates. Stay tuned to IGN for future announcements.

MTV Interviews Two-Face!!

February 26, 2007

Well, not really Two-Face… the actor that portrays Two-Face. NOT Tommy Lee Jones. Aaron Eckhart is playing Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Dark Knight, the upcoming sequel to Batman Begins.

Is Eckhart exclusively Harvey Dent in “The Dark Knight”?

“Yeah,” Eckhart said, before reconsidering after a brief pause, “Well, I’m Harvey Dent … then I go into Harvey Two-Face.”

And what of speculation that, in this new installment, it’s going to be the Joker (played by Heath Ledger) who scars the eager district attorney?

“I think I’ll be killed [if I comment on that] — I’m not even sure I can say as much as I have,” Eckhart joked as a wicked, Dent-ian smile broke across his face. “There are snipers looking at me right now!”

The rest of the interview can be read here.
